Meet Our Teachers

Nadia Azzi

Nadia Azzi

Born in Florida to Lebanese-Japanese parents and fluent in Japanese and English, Nadia Azzi is a recipient of numerous top prizes at national and international levels. Most recently, she won the 2nd Prize & Special Jury Prize at the 2023 Trondheim International Chamber Music Competition in Norway. She has received fellowships at the Ravinia Steans Music Institute, Sarasota, Norfolk, Yellow Barn, and Aspen music festivals. In addition, she has performed at the Newport Music Festival, Arabs’ Got Talent, NPR’s From the Top, Radio Canada International, and WFMT Chicago. Nadia graduated from the pre-college division of The Juilliard School and received her Bachelor and Master’s degrees at the Colburn Conservatory of Music.

Yun Janice Lu

Yun Janice Lu holds a Master’s degree from Yale School of Music and a Bachelor’s degree from  California State University, Fullerton, both in piano performance. She won the Bronze medal at the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition, was a semi-finalist at the prestigious Geneva International Music Competition in Switzerland, and won both the Chi-Mei Arts Award and the PianoTexas Young Artists Competition. Janice has performed at numerous world-renowned festivals including Music Academy of the West, Taos, Yellow Barn, Music@Menlo, and PianoFest in the Hamptons, just to name a few. 

Motti Fang-Bentov

Born in Beijing, China, and raised in Tel-Aviv, Israel, pianist Motti Fang-Bentov hails from a multicultural, east-west background. He holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in piano performance from New England Conservatory. He has performed as a soloist with the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra, the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, and the New England Conservatory Philharmonia, and has collaborated with conductors Zubin Mehta, Vakhtang Kakhidze and David Loebel. Recent performance highlights include the bronze medal at the Fischoff Chamber Music Competition, and performances with violinists Itzhak Perlman, Tessa Lark, Maria Ioudentich, and cellist Lawrence Lesser.

Qing Li

Pianist Qing Li completed a Bachelor’s degree at the Eastman School of Music, followed by a Master’s degree from the Manhattan School of Music. A passionate performer, she has graced stages across China, Italy, and the US. Her talent was recognized in 2017 with solo performances with the Hunan Symphony Orchestra. Qing’s dedication extends beyond the stage; she serves as a Teaching Assistant at the Boston University College of Fine Arts, frequently participates in masterclasses with renowned artists like Douglas Humphreys, Dang Thai Son, and Stanislav Ioudenitch, and specializes in preparing her students for ABRSM program.

AnnaLotte SMith

AnnaLotte is a Steinway Teacher & Educational Partner with over a decade of teaching experience. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in piano performance from Westminster Choir College at Rider University with additional studies at Princeton University as well a Master’s degree from Boston Conservatory at Berklee. AnnaLotte won the Grand Prix at the Second Baden-Württemberg International Piano Competition in Germany, and was featured as a soloist and chamber musician on multiple international concert tours and festivals. Her performance practice research has brought her into demand as a music consultant for the historic instrument collection at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston to movie sets in NYC.

Rasa Vitkauskaite

(Advanced Students Only)

Winner of the Grand Prix at the Mendelssohn Cup Piano Competition in Italy, Rasa is an internationally acclaimed, multiple award winning pianist, and a highly sought-after teacher and adjudicator. Hailed for her “artistry of poetic and observant sensitivity” (Gramophone), she has toured and performed in more than 30 countries. The long-time pianist of the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra, Rasa is a member of the Music Teachers National Association and the Massachusetts Music Teachers Association. Rasa Vitkauskaite Cambridge Piano Lessons Teacher

Hsin-Hao Yang

Originally from Taiwan, Hsin-Hao Yang holds a Bachelor’s degree in piano performance from California State University, Fullerton, and is finishing up his Master’s degree at New England Conservatory this December. Hsin-Hao won the first prizes at the 2021 Music Academy of the West solo piano competition and the 2018 Dallas International Piano Competition. As an avid performer, he has performed at numerous prestigious venues, such as National Concert Hall in Taiwan, and appeared as soloist with the Dallas Chamber Symphony performing Liszt’s Piano Concerto No. 1.

Our Students

Students at Cambridge Piano Lessons hail from a variety of backgrounds, ages and levels including complete beginners through conservatory piano performance majors, as well as dedicated adults who never had the opportunity to learn piano, and even MIT and Harvard students maintaining their investments in years of piano practice.

Recent student accomplishments include First Prizes at MMTA Bay State and Judged Festival Competitions, First Class Honors with Distinction at Royal Conservatory Music Development Program, ABRSM exam completion with Distinction, concerto performances with Youth & Muse International Music Festival orchestra, and more!

Our Facilities

Our studios feature top-quality Yamaha grand pianos, air conditioning, high-speed WiFi, a large flat-screen TV and audio system. We are within walking distance from MBTA Green & Red lines, a number of buses, restaurants and stores.

How Do I Begin?

Lessons offered in 30*, 45, 60 & 90 minute increments. All lessons are private to ensure maximum attention needed for your successful and consistent progress. Ages 5 and up. Adults welcome!

*30 min lessons only offered to students up to the age of 8.

Weekend and evening times available.

PLEASE NOTE: We offer weekly lessons only. An accoustic piano or a quality full size digital piano with weighted keys required for home practice.
